Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Fostering Social Worker to join our dynamic team at Achieving for Children. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues to deliver comprehensive fostering services. This includes the recruitment, assessment, training, and ongoing support of foster carers, as well as managing duty services. You will be responsible for conducting Form C assessments and special guardianship assessments.
As a Fostering Social Worker, your primary goal will be to ensure the safe placement of children and work towards establishing long-term permanency plans. Our service is currently experiencing significant growth, offering an exciting opportunity for expansion and potential job permanency for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively to provide full-range fostering services.
- Recruit, assess, train, and support foster carers.
- Conduct Form C assessments and special guardianship assessments.
- Safely place children and establish permanency plans.
- Participate in peer group supervision sessions.
- Contribute to the development of foster carer training and support groups.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS & barred list check (Child)
- HCPC Registration
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualifications (CQSW, DipSW, CSS)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Provision of 2 years of professional references
